"Even the best writer has to erase."

Wow, what a relief! If even the best writers have to erase it must mean they made an error. I feel comforted by the idea that even the most successful people are human and make mistakes. I make mistakes all of the time.  How about you?  Sometimes when we make a mistake we can feel like the whole world noticed and we can feel judged and ashamed.
However, mistakes can really work to our advantage!  If we start to change the word "mistake" in our head to "learning experience" we can get the best of  a valuable lesson. This is true of small mistakes and HUGE mistakes.  What if we said instead, I had a small learning experience...or I have just had a HUGE learning experience.  Learning experiences tend to repeat themselves until we get the lesson.  Is there a "mistake" that keeps repeating in your life? What is the learning experience you are being given?

"The best morsels are never given to a beggar."

Are you finding that over and over again you don't feel like you get what you want? Do you feel kind of "needy" once in a while?  We all face times in our lives when we are feeling desperate for something.  It could be better relationships, a better job, more fulfillment in general...

There is truth to the idea that we teach people how to treat us.  How we orient ourselves in the world affects how others respond to us.  If you look at the quote above: "The best morsels are never given to a beggar."  it means that if you act like a beggar you most likely will be treated like one.  If you want to be treated like a prize...you have to act like a prize (even if you don't feel like one in the moment).

How do you behave around others?  Do you act like a beggar?...a prize?...something else in between?

"Every Day is a New Day"

There was a commercial years ago.  I think it was for sparkling water.  The narrator said something like every day that the sun rises it does so to remind us that we have a new chance.  I don't know if I every bought the water, but I loved the idea behind the sentiment.

Every day really is a new day.  What would it be like for you to imagine every morning that the sun rising is really a symbol for a fresh chance to get it right?

What will you do with your chance today?

Having a bad day today?  If the sun rises tomorrow guess what?  You get a new chance to change things in your favor!
